  • Prototype Launched
  • braincontrol.me gets 16,000 downloads

    While working with Adam on creating an exchange, our lead developer, Mark, builds a deterministic wallet called BrainControl as part of an experiment in client side wallets. After receiving attention in /r/bitcoin it receives 16,000 downloads.

  • 500 startups and breaking ground

    BrainControl.me is discovered by 500 Startups Venture Partner Sean Percival and is accepted into Batch 9 as one of 500's first Bitcoin ventures. BrainControl is deprecated soon afterwards and work begins on an open source wallet with themes and plugins.

  • team relocates to silicon valley

    Johnny joins and the team relocates to Mountain View, CA from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Research begins on the wallet and supporting API services.

  • Pivot to Blockstrap
  • scope expanded to framework, wallet, and API

    The team decides to build an extesnible wallet framework rather than just the wallet itself, effectively open sourcing the project. Blockstrap is created to provide a starting point for Bitcoin developers to learn and build upon. Our previous wallet work forms the basis of the HTML5 framework in the stack.

  • blockstrap first announced

    Although still in development, Blockstrap is announced for the first time during the 500 Startups Batch 9 demo day presentation at the Microsoft Campus, Mountain View. VentureBeat selects us as one of their 5 'Most Eye Catching Startups' from the batch.

  • blockstrap v0.4.1.0 begins stealth beta

    The Blockstrap HTML5 framework and API is released in stealth beta from Startup Alley at TechCrunch Disrupt Europe in London. Supported currencies at launch are Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin and their respective testnets.

  • blockchains.io and issue prioritizer released

    The first example applications built using the Blockstrap stack are also launched frpm TechCrunch Disrupt Europe. Blockchains.io is a multi-currency blockchain explorer for Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Dogecoin, while the issue prioritizer allows users to vote for and fund development issues.
